I thought he didn't wish Grandpa Gohan back because he told him not to.(and to instead wish Bora back.) Anyways he probably just wanted to leave the past behind, and move on with his new life/family.

That's why Grandpa Gohan wasn't wished back either, or Planet Vegeta and all the other Saiyans. right but do you have the scans for that 1 year sounds logical but I don't remember reading that anywhere.
